Some artist choose to draw portraits as a job. We call these types of artist Portrait Artist (job title).
A portrait shows a likeness of a person. The portraits in these examples also show what people do and how they feel.

What does the title of this picture suggest about these people above?
A self-portrait is an artwork of the artist themselves. Think of it as a selfie that the artist creates by studying themselves in a picture or mirror and then drawing what they see about themselves.
Try creating a self-portrait by using crayons and / or markers on a sheet of paper.
Step one: Make your face using a large oval like shape, and the draw your neck and shoulders.
Step two: Create a border to frame your portrait, Think about things that are important to you. Decorate the border with pictures that show things you like and / or care about. This will add background to your art and make it more interesting to look at.
